Zo'é Isolated Group
While we were filming with the isolated Tupi ethnic group Zo'é walking in the pristine virgin forest in the Amazon, we asked them how far does the world go ? They replied: it goes until the large river where we normally fish. Then we asked them : … But, what is next ? What's on the other side of the river ? … the group of zo'é men and women stared at us. They were literally astonished by the weird question until one of them said: NOTHING !

Log race xavante
The buriti log race is the main ritual of the Macro-Jê linguistic peoples. It is a celebration of life manifested by strength, health, skill, joy and physical endurance.

Zoh'é funeral ritual
The Seh'py is the greatest collective ritual of the Zo'é people. Men and women unite by consuming a very strong brew to sing and dance the whole night in order to cleanse and heal the physical body. In this healing process, cleansing is carried out through vomiting. The Zo’é people believe they are putting out all the evils produced by the spirits of death. At the end they throw their straw skirts to the spirits of the forest to bring back to them peace in life and good health for their people.
